U.S. Treasury Policy Advisor for Europe within the Office of Terrorism and Financial Crimes Michael Greenwald lectures at BAU
Mr. Michael Greenwald, Policy Advisor for Europe within the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Crimes, gave a lecture on November, 10 at BAU International in Washington, DC. Greenwald serves at the Head of the U.S. Delegation to the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism working closely with the Council of Europe. In this role, Greenwald’s office is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to use financial sanctions and authorities to combat threats to U.S. national security, and for initiatives to safeguard the U.S. financial system from a range of illicit finance threats.
Mr. Greenwald offered his advice on how students should develop their areas of expertise while in college; and particularly how students should maximize their academic experience in college for future professional benefit. Mr. Greenwald answered various questions by BAU students and faculty.
